An amazing friend asked me to photograph her husband's homecoming this evening. He's been off at war for the past 9 1/2 months. I tell her that she's strong and amazing...incredible, even. She doesn't believe me. That's just the way she is. Don't believe her though, she really is incredible. I was so honored to be there to see this family together again.
I should not have watched this at work. I'm bawling.
So, I knew I was going to bawl like a baby.
It was worse than I expected. I had to pause it to come over here and comment and give the tears a chance to clear up so I can actually SEE the rest of the pictures.
OK. I'm off to try again. : )
Three tries but I made it to the end. Beautiful pictures! Thank you to our friends for their amazing sacrifice. I am so grateful.
Oh man, I got about 5 pictures in before I started crying! Amazing. This family will treasure the pictures you took.
I don't even know you or them, came here by way of Becky's blog and as I looked through those photos I got goose bumps... you captured that moment so well.
And a big thank you to this family I don't know for your sacrifices for us. Enjoy being reunited as a family again!!
I came over here to see what you are up too and you are writing about me! Once again, thank-you my very TALENTED friend for coming out and capturing our homecoming!
Much love,
Dawnita~
I don't know you Dawnita but it looks like you have an amazing family. Thanks for letting Daiquiri share with us all your homecoming. I lost it with the picture of your big boy leaping into his Daddy's arms. What a priceless memory. Thank you all to the sacrifices you've made.
