Sucker

Thomas is such a sucker.

A finger sucker, that is! This kid is happiest when he manages to flail around enough to land a finger in his mouth. He latches on, takes a great sigh, and settles into sleep. It's so sweet!

I've been encouraging the binki as much as possible, just as I did with my older 3 kids. Call me a control freak...but I just really like being able to take it away when necessary.

But I don't know - there's something about a baby who can soothe himself without me crawling around on the floor in the middle of the night looking for the lost binki. Sounds awful nice. Am I getting lazy? Soft?

Well, we'll just see what happens. I'll offer the pacifier, and see what happens. Something tells me that I don't really get the choice anyway :)
