No "Case of the Mondays" Here!
Mondays are usually tough for me. I have to adjust to having hubby back at work, and the full weight of running the house and taking care of the kiddos on me. Not to mention having to dig us out of the mess we let accumulate over the weekend while we were having fun!
But not this morning...My Mama is here!
Hubby has a heavy work schedule this week. Last week on the phone, I was telling her how much I was dreading this week because of it. The next thing I knew...she was calling me up to say, "hey, how about I jump on a plane and save your sorry butt?" Well, that's not what she said, but that's exactly what she's doing!
Stock up the fridge with Diet Pepsi, kids...Yaya is on her way! Yahoo!
Actually, she's upstairs sleeping right now. I'm trying to contain the kids - they're dying to go jump all over her with their morning breath and bed-head.
Am I ever going to out-grow the need for my Mom and Dad? Something tells me...No WAY.
You inspired me... :) as soon as I read this I called my mom to tell her how much I love her. The relief and excitement you feel at having her help just shines through your words. I can't begin to count the number of times my mom has "saved my sorry butt" and I am so thankful for her!
Enjoy your time with your mom!
:) Marisa
That is SOOO Cool. My mom would NEVER, EVER, I have learned to be ok with that... Even so though, I think you are right... We won't ever outgrow that need.
You're still such a brat...and I'm jealous.
dad.
We miss you too, Dad. ((Hugs))
-Your brat ;)
Ahh, don't you love that! My mom is ALWAYS faithful for getting together for some ice cream, too!
Out grow the need?! Why would you want to. I enjoy reading your posts. Thanks for the laugh. Have a great Tuesday. Theresa
BTW...I called my mom after I posted! T
