Don't You Love Today's Verse?

I love to check out "The Word" doo-dad in my left sidebar every morning. Today's really touched me:

He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. Isaiah 40 : 11

Sometimes God is so big that I forget just how tender he is. I love the idea of being his little lamb today, being carried close to his heart and gently led.

He IS big. He IS a warrior. He IS strong and stern at times. He IS righteous and holy and just. But do you know what? He is doing and being all of that while holding me lovingly in his arms.
