Not Saying Much...For Once
Well, you know me. I'm a bit...long winded. But not today.
I got my fingers smashed in a door yesterday, so typing with my left hand is less than fun right now.
It was the strangest thing. I put my hand on the doorjamb to steady myself, and then I heard a really strange, hollow, echoing sound. For just a split second I though, "Hey, that's ME. I think I'm screaming!" And then I felt the pain.
You know how pain sorta comes in a wave? You can breathe through it...or not...maybe you're a breath-holder. But then the wave subsides, and it starts to feel better? Not this time. It was excruciating to the point where I couldn't physically open my eyes for a good 5 minutes.
And I'm not a crier when it comes to pain. I've cried in pain a total of 5 times in my adult life. Four of those times I was in labor. The 5th time was when I was trying to ride out the pain of my crushed fingers.
Okay. All this talking about pain is dumb 'cuz it makes it hurt more. It will probably be more pictures and less talking for the next few days (Grandma's thinking "YES!" right about now!).
OWWWW, you poor thing!
Oh my gosh! Poor girl! I hope you feel better soon!
Ouch! When you described that I started having sympathy pains for you. That sounds like no fun at all. I just prayed for you that you might feel better and heal quickly. Sometime we all need a little time off to just heal. We'll be here for you when you are back to 100% again.
Oh Daiquiri!!! Dare I say, "LOL" by your writings? You are so funny! Oh, uh-uh...
Pooor, poor Daiquiri! Okay, you've caught me. I'm being light hearted about it. But honestly, I do hope you didn't break anything. I mean, if you're the type of gal that can muster through adult life without cryin' much, this has got to be a doosey. Anyway, Looking forward to many pictures, and am enjoying your blog tremendously!
Best wishes!
Daiq,
Hope your feeling a little better! You didnt break anything did you?
Love,
Mom
Oh, I am so sorry. But what immediately stood out at me was the connection to your last post. It looks like you painfully smashed your fingers the day after you posted about Seeking the Lord through Suffering! Be careful about your next Seeking the Lord post! (I do love them, by the way, and also your LDS posts.)
Laura- I actually thought about that as I laid on my bed bawling my weenie eyes out! "Dang, Lord, see if I ever seek You on suffering again!"
:)
