Faith,
Holidays,
Seek The Lord Sunday
In this season of hustle and bustle, shopping and cooking, parties and planning...I always feel a little overwhelmed. Anyone else? Do I hear a collective "AMEN, sister!" rising from the blogosphere? I think I do!
With the holiday season ramping up, I'm feeling more and more like I want to keep things simple. I want to relax an enjoy my family. I want to focus on what's most important (and it's not the perfect gift or that I spend the same amount of money on each of my children, even though there's something in me that desperately wants the gifts to be *perfect*). Sigh.
So I've been trying to set aside extra time to just pray and read and listen. The Lord has given me two verses during this time. I wrote them in a notebook, and I read them about 34 times a day. It helps me to relax and stay centered and just...breathe. I thought I'd take this STLS post to share them with you. I hope they touch your heart and speak to your soul like they did me.
"I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope." Psalm 130:5
"Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done." Psalm 105:1
Peace, friends. May the Peace of the Lord be with you this Thanksgiving, and may your heart be overjoyed by the abundance of his blessings in your life. Have a great holiday :)

Hiya Daiquiri!
Mine isn't technically a Thanksgiving post - we don't celebrate it down here :) - but I think you'll be able to see why I thought of it when I came across your STLS post today.
Cheers,
Lizzie
thanks for the verses....I have found that when I wait on the LORD patiently and peacfully great things happen...
Hi there, thanks for the invitation to your weekly meme. I posted over at my blog. What a wonderful idea. God bless, Deanna
Your verses are so timely, Daq. Thanks so much. And Jina got her bracelet and she had her baby. Again, perfect timing.
Thank you for these verses. I needed them today. I did post yesterday. I'd love to have you drop over and be blessed.
